
Steps
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the plant-based beef and chicken substitutes to the skillet and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the beef and chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, carrot, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef and chicken substitutes to the skillet.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients in the skillet and stir well to coat everything.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the vegetarian beef and chicken stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles.
