Steps
1. Cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Pour in the milk and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese, mixing until melted and smooth.
4. Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper. Add the cooked macaroni and stir until well coated.
5. For the garlic toast, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix olive oil, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
6. Brush the mixture over the slice of bread and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
7. Serve the mac and cheese hot, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside the garlic toast.
