Spicy Chicken and Dates Tagine

A flavorful dish that combines tender chicken with the sweetness of dates, perfect for breaking fast during Ramadan. This tagine is spiced with aromatic herbs and served with fluffy couscous.

Steps

1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. 2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. 3. Stir in the chicken thighs, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned. 4. Add chopped dates and chicken broth, then cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked. 5. Meanwhile, prepare the couscous according to package instructions. 6. Fluff the couscous with a fork and serve it topped with the chicken tagine. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
