Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with one muffin liner.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated apple, mashed banana, and grated carrot.
3. Stir in the melted butter and honey or maple syrup if using.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in the dark chocolate chips if desired.
6. Pour the batter into the muffin liner, filling it about 2/3 full.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. Let cool slightly before enjoying your healthy muffin!
