Steps
1. Take the beef steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
2. Season both sides of the steak with salt, pepper, and rosemary if using.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on thickness.
5. In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Baste the steak with the melted butter and garlic for extra flavor.
6. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
7. Serve with your favorite side dish or salad.
