Steps
In a bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cabbage, grated carrots, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold in half, and pinch to seal tightly.
Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
To cook, either steam the dumplings for about 10 minutes or pan-fry them in a skillet with a little oil, adding a splash of water and covering until cooked through (about 8-10 minutes).
Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.
