
Steps
- In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and sugar.
- Gradually add water and mix until smooth. (Add food coloring if desired.)
- Microwave the mixture for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until it becomes thick and sticky.
- Dust your surface with a little cornstarch and transfer the dough onto it.
- Divide the dough into 2-3 equal pieces and flatten each piece.
- Place a small spoonful of sweet red bean paste in the center of each piece and wrap the dough around it, sealing it well.
- Gently flatten the filled mochi into a round shape.
- Wrap each mochi with a cherry blossom leaf, and serve.

- 2-3 cherry blossom leaves (pickled)
